½ Day Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop

Our ½ day workshop is an excellent introduction to mindfulness and meditation for up to 30 participants. With an emphasis on playfulness and fun we introduce participants to a variety of mindfulness and meditation practices. There is also an opportunity to gain an understanding of the key concepts in mindfulness and how it can be beneficial in the corporate context. 8 Week Mindfulness in the Workplace Course:

The 8 week Mindfulness in the Workplace Course provides a thorough grounding in the key elements of mindfulness and meditation. It offers a set of practical skills to participants with potentially wide reaching benefits. Here at Guildford Meditation, we have decided to base our Mindfulness in the Workplace Course on the “gold standard” courses of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress and the Interpersonal Mindfulness Programme. These research-based interventions offer the confidence of scientifically proven outcomes, an important part of our approach. Key elements of the course are:

Key Benefits of the Mindfulness in the Workplace Course:

The 8 week programme is generally offered for two hours once a week over an eight week period. Other formats are available to suit your organisation’s requirements such as four hour sessions over a four week period. We provide all materials including a handbook for each participant and individual access to guided meditations. We also offer phone and email support to all participants in between sessions.

About Us:

We have extensive experience in delivering mindfulness courses and workshops in a variety of corporate and public settings including schools and drug and alcohol rehab centres. We are delighted to have worked with a number of blue chip companies including Google, Colgate Palmolive, Allianz, E A Games, Total Jobs Group and Guildford Borough Council.

Both Neil and Sarah have dedicated meditation practices and are passionate about sharing the benefits of mindfulness and meditation with the corporate world. Innovative, creative and committed to lifelong learning, they bring together a thorough understanding of the needs of business with unique insights into how we can use the most challenging situations as opportunities to learn, grow and succeed.

Sarah Gulland

Sarah trained as a solicitor before becoming the director of an aerospace engineering business until 2014. During this time she trained to teach the Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress and Mindfulness for Health courses, Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention and the .B Mindfulness in Schools course. She is also currently in certification to teach Integrative Restoration, iRest. Sarah is an experienced practitioner and facilitator with the following experience:

We worked with Neil and Sarah at Guildford Meditation to introduce Mindfulness to our studio via introduction sessions and self-electing programmes. At all times the delivery has been skilful, inspiring, aligned with our values and more than met the goals we agreed for the programmes.

Neil and Sarah from Guildford Meditation organised a detachment day for London Googlers that was gratefully received by all who attended. We were carefully guided through a day of meditations, reflections and relaxation. One of the surprises was how nourishing it was to spend time in silence. We all felt very rested but also invigorated.
